What do you do?

Do you have a maxim that you live and work by?

Get back on the horse

What are the three milestones that have led you to where you stand?

Great parents, clay, moving to NYC

What projects do you have in the pipeline?

A full ceramics set for a cafe in Bahrain, new collections for some gorgeous concept stores in Europe, Jewelry, Installations, and a new clay related skin care product can’t wait to share!

What is your dream project?

Interactive installations that connect people with the rhythms of the earth, and huge pots!

What’s something surprising about you, that we might not know?

I really love my hot water bottle

If you could choose to hear from any female contemporary at a Make Nice event, who would it be and why?

Ilona Hamer - because she is awesome through and through - she encourages and empowers women in a very real way

What is the best advice you’ve been given, or wish you had been told sooner?

Now this is the funny thing with advice is you can hear it, but it’s not until you feel it that you understand it. Well that’s how it is in my case. So it has to be to listen to your gut feeling - to really work at accessing that instinct

Do you have a supportive female network in your field? Was it always this way?

Yes! My work (ceramics) opened me up to a whole load of new relationships that I hold very dear to my heart, I feel very supported and uplifted. In the past I’ve had both good and bad relationships, I just don’t have time for the bad ones anymore!

Can you share a creative experience that you have found defining?

I saw Patti Smith read her poem to Robert Mapplethorpe at The South Bank Centre in London. I had tears streaming down my face - It was so incredibly moving that I can’t even describe it.

What are you listening to, reading, watching of late, that is inspiring or entertaining you?

I’m reading the book of longing by Leonard Cohen, Longevity by Cameron Diaz. I weekly tune into the Confidential show by Iggy Pop on BBC radio 6.  We’ve just started watching The Godfather again... I can also rattle through TV series pretty quickly!

What is one facet of your field that you want to see change?

Environmental issues are what concern me the most. I would like to see more education and support for greener choices, and a deeper connection and understanding of the earth.

What do you want to be asked about that no one ever asks you?

Honestly I have no idea I’m not secretive you can ask me anything, but I am pretty private and happy in my own world

How can we find our more about your work?

Who would you most like to answer these questions next?

Kerrilynn Pamer from CAP Beauty - re-educating people on natural beauty and lifestyle
